from a conversation thinking, “Why did that happen again?” you’re not alone. You care. You’re thoughtful. You want things to go well. And yet, in certain moments, something else takes over. An unconscious reaction which can look like a shutdown, a sharp tone, or even a retreat. The same pattern shows up, in your marriage, on your team, in meetings. and of course, in conflict. Not because you’re broken. Because you learned how to protect yourself. And those protections are still running.
What I’ve Learned
For more than twenty years, I’ve been studying what helps people come home to themselves. Everything changed for me when I began to see my own patterns, the unconscious strategies I used to stay competent, safe, or in control.
When you can see the pattern clearly, something softens.
You don’t have to fight yourself. You don’t have to fix everyone else. You realize you have choice.
That shift changes relationships. It changes teams. It changes how you show up in the world.
How we work together
We look at the emotional and relational patterns shaping behavior without judgment. And then we practice new ways of responding, right in the middle of real life. I can even introduce AI as a reflection tool for those interested in exploring this. Always guided with the guardrails up!
